INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTER PRESENTATION

24th Symposium in Plant Biology
“Gene silencing: the biology of small RNAs and the epigenome”

Poster Preparation/Guidelines:

  1. Our display panels have a usable area of 46 inches by 46 inches.
  2. Use titles, borders and graphics for emphasis. The poster display may consist of photographs and graphs with appropriate legends, tables with captions, and any such similar materials.
  3. Summarize your material (avoid pasting full research articles or papers on your poster!)
  4. Posters can be unmounted or mounted on lightweight paper board that can easily be fastened to the display panel with pushpins (supplied at Registration). Please do not write or draw on the display boards.
  5. All lettering on the poster board should be legible from a minimum distance of 4-5 feet. Avoid presenting standard typewritten material.

 

Poster Setup and Takedown:

  1. Each poster has an assigned number. After registering, please find the display board with your corresponding poster number in the East Foyer or the Magnolia North and South Rooms to set up your poster.
  2. In order to allow maximum viewing time, please set up your poster on Thursday, January 18, 2007 between the hours of 10 am to 6 pm. Posters will be on display throughout the three-day symposium.
  3. It is recommended that a representative be present during scheduled poster sessions to provide information or answer questions.
  4. Please take down your poster between 2 pm and 6 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2007. Materials left beyond the take down time will be discarded.
